Defense Against an Animal Attack

Defense Against an Animal Attack

One morning, while running in a rural area, John encountered a sudden threat: a German shepherd, without a collar, attacked him. While John didn’t have his firearm, he was prepared for wild animal encounters and used a small knife to defend himself.

After the incident, John was worried about potential repercussions from the dog’s owners, so he contacted U.S. LawShield® to confirm his coverage for such a situation.

“…Within a few minutes, I had a lawyer right on the phone. I mean, this is 6 a.m. We went through the whole thing and at the end of the call he says, ‘Great, if any police show up, you know not to talk to them. Just call us back immediately, and I will be there. I’m 20 minutes from your location. It doesn’t matter what hour.”

You know, if you’re going to carry – and most people around my area do – I always recommend U.S. LawShield because everything worked exactly the way it was supposed to.

His attorney confirmed his coverage and prepared all necessary documentation to defend John if any legal action arose from the dog’s owners. Fortunately, no legal action followed, and John never encountered the dog again. But the experience did leave a lasting impression on him and had him appreciating the simplicity of his member card and the legal advice just on the other end of the line.

“You know, if you’re going to carry – and most people around my area do – I always recommend U.S. LawShield because everything worked exactly the way it was supposed to. It’s like, here’s the number, here’s what you tell the police, you don’t say anything else, and you just let your lawyer handle it.”
